The Secret to Living is Giving!

'Pay if Forward' is a title to a movie but the concept has been around from the beginning of time.

The gift of life was given to us so that we can return the favor. When you give you release a kingdom principle in your life.

As the author of 'If You Played In My Playground' I know 100% that I received the gift of life from God to write this book on purpose for purpose; to pour out my trials, struggles and breakthroughs so that my process of transformation would work in your life (the reader) so that you may be complete within yourself.

I did not write the book to just 'sell' a book. My desire was to restore hope into the lives of many women, men, boys and girls all over the world who have simply given up or lost a sense of hope. It's not just ink on a paper, it's the written expression of a true living God- inside of me. What made me a believer was what He was able to do with my story- my mess. And in return I just want to pay it forward...

We all have a playground filled with unique stories. Imagine in Iraq right now; what their playground looks like; a war zone.

Sometimes that 'thing' in your life that can be your greatest gift, that also first presented itself in a moment of pain- it isn't ideal or picture perfect and all you want to do is give up, but on the other side of that 'thing' is where your victory is at.

The thing that hurt me the most is the very thing that I am using to help people today.

What is the 'thing' you have that you can give? Is it your story? Your time? Your resources or money? Is it your smile or a listening ear? Find it and give it away!

What Do You Focus Your Thoughts On?

There are two things I instantly think of when I think of the 'old me' and that is ego and anger. Because I had so much stored up inside of me, it only took a second for my ego to rub me the wrong way. This was a big problem of mine until I began practising self-awareness and mindfulness. I am still a work in progress as it's a lifetime journey. As I hear daily, I apply daily.

Self-awareness is observing your emotions, thoughts, breathing, eating, your words, working and so on- while continuing to be aware that you are doing these things. In one simple sentence, self- awareness FREES us from suffering.

The most valuable thing I learned on my journey to transformation was that I could stop alowing my mind to run me. You're probably doing it right now while you read this! If you don't watch and observe your thoughts closely, your mind can get you into a lot of mischief.

Ok, let me put it this way, you know how easy it is to watch the actions of others? Well, it's one small step from watching YOUR thinking to watching your actions and the actions of others.

How do we do that? Pay attention!

Don't just look up at the clouds, observe the clouds. Don't just look at the birds, observe and LISTEN to them. Don't just breath- smell the air! Don't just stand in the shower thinking about the office, your to do list, the kids, your bills, stand there and FEEL the water tapping on your skin. Don't just cook your food, smell the food. Take it ALL in.

Can it be that simple? Yes, you are NOT your mind. They're separate. So you have the power to control it. Tap INTO that power. It lives inside of you. When you remove the blinders, you experience a wholesomeness that brings with it- inner peace.

Thoughts lead you further and further from living authentically in the present moment. Each time you become aware of SELF, you strengthen self-awareness.

Lizzy's Word:

Be mindful of the places your mind wanders through!

"How Do I Find My Purpose?"

Have you ever asked yourself, “how do I really know what my purpose is?”

Look, God created purpose before He created person.

The bible states that we’re the workmanship of God. So, we’re perfectly designed and crafted for a purpose. I mean everything He’s created was created with and FOR purpose. Think of the trees. The cows. The lakes. The fish. Ohh and let’s not forget bee’s!!
Everything about you was created for a purpose. Your struggles, your past, your story…it’s all a part of your blueprint. Trust ME!

Frustration comes when a person is not seeking and walking in purpose. This is where the devil wants us. This is where he traps us. Then all of a sudden we feel lonely, sad, unworthy, left out, not good enough, not smart enough, too old, too young, too white, too black, too poor, too skinny, to thick… and all these things lead to depression and that’s exactly where he wants us; because in a state of depression, you do nothing! Your body is still here but you inner being is dead.
Remember, the average person dies at 75 but stopped living at 25!
The devil’s job is to ‘kill, steal and destroy’ and that is his only mission. He cannot ‘GIVE’ life so his job is to make sure he takes it!
Your primary purpose is to seek God and ONLY in and through Him, you’ll discover your secondary purpose.

If you think your purpose in life is to get married or have children, that is not so! If it’s a desire, that’s different. It may or may not be a part of your destiny. Your only purpose right now should be to ‘be’ the best version of YOU! Work daily towards that and in finding yourself, you WILL discover your gifts and passions. And your passion is what you will use to serve the world.

When I began to seek God and know God for myself, I started seeing and believing exactly what He wanted to do in and through my life. That did not happen overnight. I worked diligently on recreating that little girl who lost herself at the age of five. It took time BUT it has been the best time of my life and I can only imagine what’s to come!

Purpose = Your Supreme Reason for Being

Are You A Game Changer?

You must decide what you want and it WILL happen....

In other words, you must know your purpose before it comes into manifestation. So when you decree a thing (make a decision) you then cut things away...

There are things in your life that just don't fit any longer. That season is over. It's been over. You're just refusing to let go! And this why you're frustrated and stressed out. You really think God created you to be stressed out? You've lost your passion for life and passion is the very thing that gives you POWER!

It's not what you hang unto that changes the quality of your life. It's what you cut OUT!
God wants to use you as an agent of change..to advance the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is Gods Royalty, the Rule, and the Realm. When we talk about advancing he Kingdom of God, it's not just some lofty word. He has given us power and authority. He's not just trying to get us to Heaven (that's such a religious mindset) He is trying to bring Heaven here TO earth!

But the question is, do you avail yourself?

Stop asking, " God what can I ask you for today? What can I use you for?" and start asking, "God what can you use ME for today?"

When we allow God to use us to be game changers, we put a smile on His face. I know all about games. I use to play them. A lot of them. Dangerous ones too! I lived more then 20 years of my life playing games. Worldly games and it kept me in bondage. But I have chosen to turn away from the world's fun and games and I am now a game CHANGER for Him. He has equipped me for such a time as this. Ohh what he can do with your sin. Trust me!!

I wake up every morning with purpose...

It's up to YOU to discover YOURS!

Do What Feels Right!

For most of us, as children, we had no idea what we wanted to be or do when we got "big" enough to do something. I know for myself I knew that there was more to my life than the pain I was living in, but I had no idea what I would end up being or doing as I got older.

Many people ask me, "Liz how do I find my purpose?"

The only way to know what to do in life is to pay attention to the life you're living right now. You can't be listening to others regarding your purpose. You've got to "BE STILL" in order to listen and hear the voice of God for direction. He will always direct you to your passion. Whatever you end up doing is going to be something you WILL be passionate about. If you believe there is something more to your life than the one you're living, than you've got to listen to your spirit and be guided by that- NOT people. Set yourself apart for some time to figure it out. How much alone time are you spending with YOU?

You deserve and are worthy to live a life filled with passion and purpose. The reason you are here-living- is to figure out what that calling, that purpose is. Everything that happens to you in life is a lesson and everyone you meet is a teacher. Even if you're partner has cheated on you, or your child is locked up in prison, maybe you're in a dead end job...whatever is happening is there to teach you something. Your job is to pay attention.

If you've already discovered what your calling is but you're struggling with receiving it or starting that first project, then you've got to start living and walking in it. Write it out, see it and than move in the direction of working towards it. It all starts with that idea and then the first step you take to bring that idea to life. You will NOT fail if it is indeed your passion. I am not saying it will be easy. But easy is not an option. Easy come- easy go. Come on, we've all heard that saying before.

What do you believe? Because you WILL manifest the life you believe. All it takes is faith the size of a mustard seed. That's all. Have you ever seen a mustard seed? Well, take a look at this mustard seed (below), study it and realize how tiny it is. Now if that's all you need to bring your visions and dreams to life, than it's time to get up and start moving.

What Is the Foundation of Your Relationship?

What is your relationship rooted in? Is it lust? Pain? Past baggage? Or is God at the center of it?

This weekend my Pastor is teaching at his Relationship Conference on 'Healthy God Focused Relationships' for married and single men and woman. I tell you this, I am sitting here still in awww. I am going to include some of what he has been sharing with us the past couple days.

The Kingdom of God is past, present and future.

As a single person, you're an ambassador for Christ. As a married woman or man, this is suppose to continue. You're still a single person in God.

Once we give ourselves to the Holy Spirit, we will live the lives we're supposed to live.

The world's #1 cry is justice and peace. But in the kingdom of God- it's a given.

Your relationship must be governed by the Kingdom. Please don't confuse this with Jehovah's Witness. That is not the Kingdom I am talking about. This is not religion. I am talking about The Kingdom of God.

You are not in a relationship with God. You're In God and He is in you. You can easily walk away from a relationship. You can say, "Oh I am not in love anymore and walk away. Or people cheat in relationships. God doesn't want us to be in relationship with Him because He knows humans are emotional and today you may wake up and decide you don't 'feel' like being in a relationship with God anymore or for a time...so He wants to be in us. Live IN us.

Relationship have a secret. God holds that secret and so a relationship grounded in Gods word is a healthy relationship because they've unlocked the secret.

The world is searching for something in their sex life. So they go over to the dark side to stir up excitement in their relationships and start messing around with sex toys and tools; doing all kind of sick things to bring pleasure into their relationships. This is in the church too. When God is at the center of your relationship, you don't need to go over to the dark side for excitement in the bedroom with your spouse. Everyday in the bedroom will be like a new day- when God is at the root of that relationship.

Proverbs 19:21

You can make many plans for your life, but it's Gods plan / purpose that shall prevail.

To everything there is a season.

God created sex and created it with a divine season. The season sets a platform for the purpose to manifest.

Seasons allow purpose to manifest itself. Everything has a purpose. Your relationship must have a purpose or it's no relationship at all.

What is the purpose of the relationship you're in?

Revelation 4:11

You are worthy oh Lord to receive glory and power, for you have created all things, and for your purpose they are and were created.

Everything in your life is suppose to represent God.

In the world (outside of God), people are people and their relationships are all the same. Whether it's Tom, Jim or Jane. It's dead works. God doesn't get any glory out of these relationships.

A child of God doesn't live from anything that's coming from the world.

A man who masters the temptations of his body will manifests purpose in is life. Ladies, go after this kind of man. If a man lives to masturbate, he is entertaining his demons. He will struggle to live a life that glorifies God.

Our lifestyle is what displays the Kingdom of God. Not our looks or the way we dress.

Anything that God gives to us He does so to receive glory. If God gives you a man / woman- if its truly Him that gave you that person, than that relationship WILL give God glory.

Sin makes a man a coward. When sin is dominant in your life, you want to run from God.

A man who doesn't love God cannot love his wife. Nope. He doesn't even know what true love is until he finds that in God. The world's way of love and Gods way are 2 totally different loves. True love is Gods love. This is the love we need to be seeking after.

Finally,

Each individual  must know who they are coming into a relationship or it will NOT work.

I don't want to make this any longer. I just felt a deep desire to share this with some of you who won't have a chance to be there tonight for the last day of the conference.

I trust this somehow empowered you.

Love, Lizzy

A Message from Lizzy!

You're probably wondering "what's up with Liz?" LOL. Yes it's been about a month since I've blogged. I miss it and can't wait to get back on track. I am enjoying my summer off with the kids and working hard on a few upcoming projects I will be launching soon.

I will back in the blogging game in a couple more weeks. So don't give up on me :-) I have a long list of blogging ideas to write about, interviews with some amazing women and a couple or treats for you all.

I will definitely share my summer testimony with you soon. All I can say, as I always say, GOD is sooooo GOOD! Yes He is.

My message to YOU:

Do not judge your current situation as the outcome of the journey. Whatever is happening right now in your life, is happening for your own personal growth and for the blessing you're suppose to get out of it. Whether it's a lesson learned or for your own personal development and maturity. Maybe you're suppose to walk away from something toxic in your life and it's the only way God could actually get you to walk away.

I promise you, there is purpose in your pain!

If it's hard (your situation) than DO it hard!! Give it all you got.

Now do me a favor, go and stand up in front of a mirror. Like right now... Whether it's a bathroom mirror at work or maybe you got one of the little ones in your purse. Ok are you there???

Say this out loud:

Because I am a believer, I AM an achiever!!

I am a dreamer! And I matter!

I feel GOOD and I am wide awake. I am aware!

I AM a world changer!

I am NOT ordinary! I matter and I am unique!

Because I AM HERE!!!!

No matter what it is, it's not that serious. Live the life you were created to live. A life of PURPOSE! Whether you have 60 years left to live or 60 days, LIVE!!!!!

Love Lizzy
